Have you ever gotten a bad bingo bonus before? It basically meant that you lost the money that you had deposited into a bingo site’s account; or at the very least you didn’t win anything.
This is why you need to do some research of your own before you deposit your hard earned pounds into an online bingo account. You need to know that the bingo website that you are interested in is playing by the rules, which isn’t always the case. When it comes to finding the best legitimate bingo bonuses online, I would choose a reliable source for UK online bingo such as BingoBonuses.net.
They have played at every site that they have reviewed and have tried all of the bonuses offered in order to make sure they were safe to play. It is very important that you do not simply choose an online bingo site just because they offer the biggest bonus. Often, this is a ploy to get customers in the door because they would not normally be able to compete with the larger bingo halls.
The idea of the bonus is that bingo companies know that playing bingo is a lot like playing slot machines. You can win a lot, but if you don’t win at all, you likely won’t make another deposit. Contrary to popular belief, most legitimate online bingo sites want you to win simply because they want you to keep playing.
They don’t gain anything by having you lose all of your money and not playing; but that doesn’t make it any easier to get a winning ticket. Slots are the same way, many people play with the hopes of winning the big one; but you should be content to win a little bit of money from time to time.
In order to let bingo players have a better chance, the online bingo websites started to offer signup or deposit bonuses as well as free or no deposit bonuses to get players into the door. The no deposit bonuses are all harmless to try, mainly because you don’t risk anything. The odds or winning anything with this isn’t great but it is intended to let you experience their bingo rooms before you commit to making a deposit.
More often, instead of free bonuses, the bingo website will offer a welcome bonus that lets the player risk little while still having a chance to play. The bonus that I think of most is one like Bet365 where you have to spend £5 in order to receive £25 for free.
Then there are the welcome bonuses that promise a 100% bonus, usually between £50 and £200. The minimum deposit to be eligible for this bonus is usually either £5 or £10. You may also see up to 200% deposit bonus at some of these sites, meaning you get £50 free when you deposit £25.
You always need to read the rules for any bonus that you accept. If the rules aren’t readily available on their website (usually in a terms and conditions page), then you probably shouldn’t accept the bonus.
There are a couple of things you need to know about most online bingo bonuses:
1) You will be required to wager the deposit and bonus amount a certain number of times before you can withdraw cash from your account. This is called the rollover. The rollover should be between 2 and 4 times. Any more than that and I wouldn’t accept the bonus.
2) You will most likely be required to use the bonus money on bingo tickets only. You will find side games like slots at many bingo websites; but unless the bonus is special in some way, your bets on these side games won’t count towards the wagering requirement.
3) You will usually not be able to cash the bonus money directly from your account. You will be required to purchase bingo tickets with the bonus money; the winnings from these tickets will be able to be cashed out.
It isn’t very difficult to see which bingo sites that I like based off of some of my previous posts. I have been a member at Bucky Bingo, Tombola Bingo and Golden Hat Bingo; so these are the sites that I have reviewed and recommended to you. However, this is just a small slice of the sites that you have to choose from; and there are some that you should stay away from.
Red Flag #1 – They are advertising to the U.S. market. This sounds weird because I have an advert for South Beach Bingo on my website. I did this because I get a lot of US traffic to this site and I wanted to give them somewhere to go. The problem with online bingo in the United States is that their government considers it illegal as an online gambling site. Yet bingo isn’t illegal because there because they have halls open in just about every town.
So even if it seems like a stupid law, these companies still know what they are doing isn’t completely ok. I also don’t like the bonuses that are offered, which brings me to the next red flag.
Red Flag #2 – You are being offered more than £200 (or $’s) on a welcome bonus or the bonus percentage is more than 200%. The main reason I don’t like this is because the wagering requirements tend to be much more complicated and you may get your winnings voided if you break their rules.
Basically, if you see a bonus for 500% signup, there’s always a catch. These sites are acting very desperate for customers and probably can’t afford to pay out to the players that accept the bonuses. So they will find a way to make you play long enough to lose your deposit before you can cash out with winnings.
I hope this gives you enough insight to be able to choose the best bingo site for your situation.
